Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Pension Aja in the picturesque village of Ždiar, I truly appreciated how the hosts went above and beyond to ensure our comfort-an aspect that mirrored the Hungarian warm hospitality I hold dear. The highlight was undoubtedly the delightful dining experience, where a mix of national and international dishes was served, and the jovial host kept everyone entertained during dinner, making our evenings memorable. After an invigorating day exploring the nearby hiking trails, the private wellness area with a sauna and outdoor jacuzzi became our sanctuary for relaxation, precisely what was needed to unwind with friends after our adventures. The rooms, adorned with traditional wooden furniture, offered a cozy retreat and were impeccably maintained-a reflection of the owners' dedication to providing a welcoming atmosphere. We were fortunate to enjoy a summer swim in the seasonal outdoor pool, which enhanced our experience in this serene setting. All in all, our three-night stay felt too short;
